Re: Just got the prototype GPIO case in...

Hi Matt, I like the idea of using the MS3 case and a DB37 for the GPIO with solder leads. I was considering using a db37 on the GPIO anyway.

Thanks

Daniel.

Re: Just got the prototype GPIO case in...

Does that case fit both the GPIO and a Megasquirt v3 board?

Cheers

Re: Board bringup procedure

The new GPIO should a least have the bootloader installed, so you should be able to load the firmware using the standard downloader tool.

Cheers

Re: What GPIO kit versions would you like to see?

Hi Matt, I'm interested in the basic GPIO kit and Like the idea of modular kits to add the IO circuits you want. Will you be selling the Amp connector for the loom side with just the uncrimped terminals for making your own loom? Are you also planning to sell a case that will fit both the gpio and ms...

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

Thad, I used a 5 possition rotary switch to control the digital range inputs on mine. Have a look at the circuits for the Trans Stim and you will see how its done. It would just be a matter of configuring the switch to match the outputs from your gearbox. The rest of your planned setup sounds fine. ...

Re: Board Assembly Questions. . .

I can't see any reason to not skip that step. The IO circuits are all separate so it shouldn't matter what order you build them in. I have built mine to suit a toyota A340E which required quite a bit of re-arranging of the circuits.

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control Needed By Many!

All my testing has been with MS2extra. So the Mshift code does work with MS2extra.

Re: Ford Auto trans details

Those additions sound great Lance. It's no big deal not having an OD switch input, with some clever wiring the OD switch can be included with the selector inputs.

Cheers

Re: Ford Auto trans details

Hi Lance, My Toyota is the same as yours, but my Ford BTR gearbox has PRND321. What would be handy is the inputs from the selector switch and then a selectable OD switch input for cars like the toyota. Cheers Daniel. PS when I get a chance I will put the Toyota info I have into the toyota thread I s...

7805 reg and CAN wiring.

Would there be any problem in using a LM7805 regulator instead of the LM2937 regulator? The LM7805 has the same pin out but is rated for 1A. I only ask as I have 7805's already at home. Is there any special requirements for the CAN wiring? i.e. twisted pairs, shielding, or will any two wires do? I w...
