Mshift confuses MPH and Km/h?

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

This is an aside and not in response to anything mentioned previously here, but it may be useful for others searching this thread at a later date:

If you are using MS3, MShift can use the speedo signal from MS3 (so the VSS is connected to MS3, not MShift). Some users have reported good results doing this. There is more on this here:

Phil.

If the circuit you are using is producing a 12v square wave signal, just bring it down to 5volt and bypass the on-board VR conditioner
and connect it directly to the processor pin at the header.

This is what I and many others have done to solve this issue.

Some reading for you here including mine and some other circuits to sort it out;

In addition to what tobmag says, there is also the DRAC module for converting a VSS signal to a square wave:

Some users have reported that these work well with noisy VSS signals.
