Stepper Idle Up / Advance not working

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Stepper Idle Up / Advance not working

Post by shaodome »

So I'm on a recent 5.x code for Megashift and finally got around to hooking up the idle motor, which is driven off the stepper chip via an MSPro. I noticed despite all the criteria being met for the in "D" but stopped to idle up not working. It says that it is for MS2 in tuner studio, so I'm imagining things are in a different place for MS3. Have you looked at that lance?

Shaodome,

I don't know if the extra code developers have implemented this. I have been told that they have put the adjustment parameters in place but haven't put the code in place to actually use the received adjustments. Apparently they may be working on it. So ask on the extra forums about it.

The relevant parameters and code mechanisms have been in B&G code for a long, long time; and the advance, etc. works fine with B&G code last time I looked.
