Megashift for air shifted 4l80

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Megashift for air shifted 4l80

Post by Jordoza777 »

Ok I have the 4l80 with a manual valve body and a trans brake. I have an air shifter on it which will shift up or down with steering wheel mounted buttons. Any possibility the megashift could be set up to up shift all gears with a single solenoid and then down shift all gears with another single solonoid. I know it's a strange application and I could go to an auto valvebody but I already have this set up working good. Any ideas.

Jordoza777,

It is not impossible that this could be controlled using the 'NAG mode' that is under development. NAG mode switches solenoids on to shift, otherwise they are off while in a gear.

I don't know enough of the details of your setup to say if this will work for you for sure though.

While several NAG functions are already in the code, there is currently no timeline for the NAG mode to be fully implemented, and it will probably be a while.

Lance.
