Re: Maximum shift line pressure

fm, See this: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V5tune.html#gl This is limited to 90% by the INI. You can change that limit by editing the INI lines: ; maxUPpressure1 = scalar, U08, 634, "%", -1.00000, -100.00, 40, 90, 0 ; Max pressure while upshifting to 1st maxUPpressure2 = scalar, U0...

Re: Help with 4L80E

Sera, In your datalog, as in the previous one, the shifts (cGear) immediately follow the change in the target gear (tGear). So you may be asking why the target gear isn't changing. That may be because of a few things, but one possibility is that you are not using the shift table you think you are. T...

Re: Help with 4L80E

It did seem to take a long time to shift gears - see in the log from 658 sec to 666 sec before it shifts? Why would that be? Flak Monkey, In this case, the shift didn't happen sooner because the target gear didn't change until 666.792 seconds. Then the shift happens at 667.015 seconds (so shortly a...

Re: Help with 4L80E

I don't think current gear should stay at 0 when the manual gear is at 4 It might if the VSS is zero (or otherwise screwed up). The VSS is the single most important input - is must be right. So get that working first; here's some hints: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/vss.html Then the manual ...

Re: Help with 4L80E

When shifting into drive, the input switch patterns don't seem to change, the datalog shows me manually shifting through the gears using the selector. flakmonkey, As long as the gear indicator shows the current shift lever position correctly, that it what is important. It means the code is seeing t...

Re: 47RE

Josh, I know quite a lot about the GPIO board and the MShift software that runs on, and I even know a little bit about automatic transmissions in general (and a fair bit about the 4L60e that was in my car). But I don't know anything at all about the 47RE except what has been posted here. The best st...

Re: Forgot to pull fuse for PC solenoid...

Flak Monkey, In thousands and thousands of hours of testing, I have *never* corrupted the firmware (and only corrupted the user parameters if the board was powered down during a flash burn). In the reports of others, though, this seems most likely to occur when MShift is being used in pass-through m...

Re: Forgot to pull fuse for PC solenoid...

What am I likely to have fried? The solenoid or something on the board?
Probably neither, but there's a chance it could be either. You have to test both.
it's getting to be more hassle than its worth
Then it is time to switch for you.

Re: AA80E 8-speed

Jim,

Sorry for the delay, I have been very sick for several days, and I am afraid to touch the code when my head isn't clear (been there, done that, got the messed up code to prove it!).

I'll get back to normal service as soon as I am healthy again.

Re: AA80E 8-speed

Jim,

I am still looking into the code issue (without finding the smoking gun yet). I will post here when I have some code for you to try.
