Re: 4L80E MSQ

Thanks, yes it's a 2nd gen Camaro. The upgrade's been a long time coming - been off the road for about 18 months now - but the end is in sight.

I'd love to add a turbo or supercharger to mine - maybe one day

Your's looks like its fun!

Re: 4L80E MSQ

Great thank you :) I'll probably set my TCC up as ON/OFF for a start - just thought it might be a bit harsh, but I'll give it a go. That said, my transmission isn't stock and it's likely to shift hard anyway, so if it is a bit harsh it shouldn't matter. Hoping the LQ will be around 580hp... Still a ...

Re: Forgot to pull fuse for PC solenoid...

Thanks Lance - this isn't the first time it's happened to me, generally as you say it's been during settings changes. Today it was a power up/down cycle within a couple of seconds that corrupted it. What you describe could be the case, I'm connected to it via CAN through my MS3 so that might explain...

Re: Forgot to pull fuse for PC solenoid...

Ok, thanks Lance. Guess the only way to find out is hook up a pressure gauge and test? The most annoying thing is that it seems so easy to corrupt the firmware, and I don't really get why. Today it was the result of a quick power up then down while I was messing about. After that when I powered up a...

Forgot to pull fuse for PC solenoid...

Oops - forgot to pull the PC solenoid fuse today when uploading new code for my MShift - 4L80E transmission late style solenoid. What am I likely to have fried? The solenoid or something on the board? This is the result of getting angry after the GPIO code was corrupted again for no apparent reason....

4L80e TCC settings

Can someone help me with the settings for the 4L80E TCC for PWM please? The information on the 4L80 instruction pages don't seem to match with the instructions on the web page any more The 4L80E does not use a lock-up feel solenoid, it PWMs the TCC solenoid directly. If you wish to pulse width modul...

4L80E MSQ

Hi all, I'm just trying to put an MSQ together for my 4L80 - the one on the build page is for an extremely old version of the code - is it going to be updated at any point so there aren't so many errors when loading it? Could someone please take a look over the attached MSQ and see if it's OK? I don...

Re: Help configuring DRAC VSS input

Stripped the DRAC out of the case and removed the connector, its a neat board inside the case. I used some multi-core shielded cable to get power and signals to and from the board. From left to right in the photo below: Blue - pin 12 - VSS input +ve Red and yellow - pin 11 - speed pulse output 5v sq...

Re: Help configuring DRAC VSS input

The DRAC arrived in the mail today, will get it fitted tomorrow and let you know how it goes :D Planning on fitting it inside the case and making it a built in module, it looks very simple to remove it from it's case and fit it on the inside of the lid of the MShift. I have an Autometer programmable...

Re: CAN communication problem

Fired the engine up over the weekend and it all looks to be working OK. All the variables from the MShift were displayed in Tunerstudio correctly - noticed that the VSS signal was noisy though, so as soon as I have my DRAC I'll be doing some modifications to hopefully help with that. Haven't driven ...
