Re: 4L60E VSS signal jumpy on roll-out

Lance,

Where is the link to the MSGPIO schematics? I found the one time, but can't find them now. What to review the speed inputs circuits.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: 4L60E VSS signal jumpy on roll-out

Ok, just to help others who may be having a similar problem, thought I would explain what is working for me. My VSS circuit is using the stock design, including the 300K resistor that sets the trigger threshold. In addition, I placed a 1K ohm in parallel with a 0.1 uF ceramic cap across the VSS sign...

Re: 4L60E VSS signal jumpy on roll-out

Thanks Lance. I drove the car a couple miles this evening. Drive just like stock. What a joy. Rock solid VSS, with the inverter off. Now that I know what the problem is, like you suggested, many ways to fix it. Have you ever used a blocker diode to feed the sensitive electrics (MSShift and MSPro3) a...

Re: 4L60E VSS signal jumpy on roll-out

The above issue was traced to a 12V to 120VAC inverter that I had powered off the same 12V power line. Turning off the Inverter, jumpy VSS goes away.

4L60E VSS signal jumpy on roll-out

Am having problems with the VSS signal jumping to a very large value as soon as the car starts to roll. This happens in REV or 1st gear. After about 10 mph, it stabilizes and seems to be solid, though I haven't had it over 40 mph to date. Of course, at these low speeds, it upsets the shift table, MS...

Re: minimum pressure of 40%

Lance,

4.138 did the trick. I can now command 0% PC in Park if I want.
Thanks again for excellent support.

Re: minimum pressure of 40%

Thanks Lance. I'll try the 4.138 here in a day or two.

Re: minimum pressure of 40%

>>are you using 4.1xx code or the 5.xxx series of code? I am running 4.137. Haven't made the jump to 5.xxx due to the heavily customized ini to get line press and oil press (Aux) calibrated. I'm still about a week out from getting this thing on the street for first drive, (for other reasons), so no ...

Re: minimum pressure of 40%

Lance, I tried what you suggested. After making the ini file changes, I was able to make the changes to the Tuner Studio input window. But there still appears to be a min floor logic occurring related to PC calcs when in Park. It would work for input of 41 and above, but when 40 or lower was entered...

I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks.
